Story
STEM is the combination of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths which actively promotes a young person's curiosity, creativity and courage.
Not enough children have the opportunity to explore and engage in STEM activities. We, at STEMAZING, want to change that!
The STEMAZING Inspiration Academy is a fully-funded programme of live online STEM sessions designed to engage and inspire children aged 7 - 9 years.
Each week during the programme, the children take part in a 45 minute activity over Zoom using only basic resources. All STEMAZINGKids workshops are delivered by women in STEM to showcase female role models and support changing outdated perceptions of what a scientist, technologist or engineer looks like.
Our STEMKits include the key basic resources schools need for the STEM experiments for each class of 30 children taking part. These are simple things such as cardboard tubes, balloons, straws and skewers.
The £1000 raised will pay for 10 full STEMKits, which are in addition to the ones our Partners fund and will be provided free to 10 lucky classes in our STEMAZING schools.
Please donate to give children, in particular those in schools in areas of social deprivation, the opportunity to engage in hands-on interactive STEM fun and connect their learning to real life! 🧡
