Story

Founded by Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou, a 1987 graduate of the London School of Economics (LSE), the Stelios Scholarships have supported talented students at the LSE for two decades.

On Saturday, November 2, 2024, we will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Stelios Scholarships at the Stelios Foundation offices in Monaco. Sir Stelios will welcome Professor Larry Kramer, LSE President and Vice Chancellor, with around 100 Stelios Scholars for a day of discussions.

To mark this milestone, the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation aims to encourage past LSE Stelios Scholars to contribute any amount within their means in order to establish additional scholarships for the future. This way we are encouraging people who benefitted in the past from a Stelios Scholarship to start or increase their own giving back to society.

The Stelios Foundation will match any amount donated by the LSE Stelios Scholars and will round it up to the next complete scholarship for a UK student which costs 25,500 pounds for the three year bachelor degree.
