Story

St Bartholomew's Catholic Church serves the local community of the Townhead area of Coatbridge, Scotland. The Parish and its buildings, i.e. Church, Presbytery and Community Hall, require a complete rewiring of all electrics and thereafter major redecorating for the Church to continue to function as a place of worship and to serve the Townhead Community. This is a necessary fundraising venture to guarantee the continual use and existence of the Church, Presbytery and Community Hall. The Church and its buildings are used by a wide range of the community, i.e. our children, senior-citizens, people of different faiths, especially funerals and weddings, and by individuals and groups with specific needs and abilities, by specific groups for events, social and spiritual gatherings. The rewiring of the electrics and redecorating - which is estimated to cost around £100,000 - will secure for the local community the continual use of these buildings for many decades to come and provide a life-line for the spiritual and social life of the area. Our ambition is to raise as much as we possibly can to achieve our total fundraising target and we have set our initial target at £20,000. I ask you to please consider offering a donation to this worthwhile cause and help us reach our objective. I thank you very much for your support and giving.
