Staithes is a picturesque village on the North East coast of England. It is a thriving tourist spot with a small, close-knit community, loved by all, residents and visitors alike.

The community is central to the village and it is essential to maintain and build on it as the community changes.

Local events are important in helping to maintain that sense of community and also to support and expand on the many fund-raising opportunities that Staithes does so well.

Our first goal is to raise funding to purchase a range cooker for Staithes Memorial Hall. Currently the kitchen has a single domestic oven which can be challenging for catering purposes. A new double oven will make life so much easier when catering for community events. It will also be better for those wanting to hire the Hall for private functions. This has dual benefits in that it becomes viable to host functions with easier catering & that the venue will be more appealing to those considering hiring it. That will also raise funds for the hall.

There are other ideas afoot, other targets for the future but for now......if you'd like to support and help maintain this unique little community, we'd be grateful for your support.
