I'm Amelia Peel,

A woman from Knutsford with a great ambition to aid those who suffer from mental health issues. I'm in the process of establishing Stable Minds CIC, a mental health non profit organisation based on Princess street, Knutsford. This will be a mental health hub, which will relieve some of the strain on the NHS by providing support groups for:

anxiety and depression
Trauma
Addiction
Miscarriages and baby loss
Domestic abuse
Co dependency
Mindfulness
CYP

Unfortunately, the number of young people and adults dying by suicide or from mental illness is at an all-time high, and the NHS waiting list is currently over 12 months long. There needs to be a change.

I've done a lot of local volunteer work over the past few years, from training my dog to be a therapy dog to serving as the sole therapy dog for Salford Royal hospital to sitting on the Moor park in Knutsford with a rainbow umbrella as a beacon for anyone in need of support during lockdown.

I appreciate the current financial climate and I am eternally grateful to every single donation.

The funds generated will be used for:

£10,000- Will fund initial set up of the center. Including support groups, marketing, materials for the much needed support groups.

£20,000- Will help fund 15 clients to receive 1 2 1 counselling, emergancy self care packages and workshops to help support the local community.

£30,000- Will mean the organisation can take on another room at the centre which will enable more service users to have 1 2 1 therapy with counsellors.

This is just the begining for our vision at Stable Minds, we just really need you help to make this happen and for us to be able to support as many people and their familys as possible.
