Vaccines are absolutely essential for every rabbit. These protect against deadly viruses - Myxomatosis, VHD 1 and VHD 2.

There is a new strain of the VHD2 virus -

RVHD2, which requires a brand new vaccine - Yurvac, which comes at an additional cost to the usual Nobivac 3-in-1.

We have 27 resident rabbits at SRR who are all due to be re-vaccinated at the end of February, as well as needing to receive the new vaccine ASAP, which will become available to us this month. We also need to provide the new vaccine to all rabbits we have in foster homes. This isn’t a glamorous thing to raise funds for but is something that is absolutely essential before all else. This will come at a cost of over £2,000! So, if you can spare a little change or want to pay for a vaccine for a specific sanctuary rabbit, please do 🙂 our standard vaccines cost £48 per rabbit, we are yet to find out the cost of the new vaccine but know this will be more expensive.
