Story
Hi,
I am helping fund raise for flood victims of Sri Lanka. In no less than one year the severe flooding has returned killing at least 151 people including children and several more missing. More than 500,000 displaced in the flooding and mudslides triggered by heavy rains on Friday. The roads are completely under water.
Residents rely on boat services to get to their homes. We see families and children waiting for supplies. Thousands here have been displaced and are cut off from basic services. Water levels are gradually increasing in many areas but with more rain predicted on Monday residents are scared.
What's the money for?
The money we are asking for is going to pay for the basic necessities needed by the victims, services provided directly by my husband's friends within Sri Lanka. As a Sri Lankan I feel really heartbroken as I am unable to do much to help the people of my country and also my family and friends who are going through such a terrible time. We need to help each other in times of need, therefore I ask you for a donation to help the victims of the flood.
May God bless you.
