Weeks ago, I read an article in the Metro about the increasing number of young girls across the country who are missing school because they can't afford sanitary products.

I cant begin to tell you how deeply sad it made me, that such shame and burden is being equated to a natural bodily function, and how isolated these girls must feel, so I've decided to do something about it!

I'd like to raise £1000 to create bundles for 10 (hopefully more) inner city girls schools in low income areas, containing:

- Pads
- Tampons
- Refuse Sacks
- Heat Patches
- All the good stuff

And I need your support! If I can get 1000 of you lovely people to donate as little as £1 each, we could help countless girls stay in school during a critical time of the academic year and support schools who are struggling to meet the needs of their disadvantaged students.

I understand that this is a quick fix, and there are lots of charities doing great work to establish lasting structural change who I urge you to also support (look up Freedom4Girls and FlowAid), but in the mean time I want these young women to know that they haven't been forgotten and that we do care.

I'll be posting pics of the packages and receipts to show where all of your wonderful donations are going.
