Story
Endosulfan is widely used in most of the plantation crops in India. The toxicity of endosulfan and health issues due to its bioaccumulation came under media attention in 2000 when health issues precipitated in the Kasargod District of Kerala, India. The impact on health caused due to aerial spraying of endosulfan in the plantation area. It was termed as Spray of Misery. Many people of all ages in the village had been, for years, suffering from horrendous diseases. Victims were suffering from congenital deformities, physical disabilities, mental retardation, and gynaecological problems. As we all have kids it was heart-breaking to see kids suffering from the deformities.
We group of few friends want to raise an awareness and charity for the families who have suffered due to this chemical spray. We (list of participants mentioned below) all have decided to go for a voluntary 32 mile (50km) walk from Clayton-Le-Moor to Wigan Pier (Leeds to Liverpool Canal) on October 1st 2022. We want to support the families and kids who have been affected. For this we need your help to support this cause so we can go further and help the best we can. Your support will be very crucial for this cause.
Please make a dontation here. Every penny will help us to help the affected families.
Thank you in advance for your donation
Kind regards.
