We are a social group of ladies in the Parish of North Petherwin and surrounding villages. We’ve called our group ’Spice of Life‘, as we have a variety of sociable and fun activities our members can choose to get involved in. Part of our ethos is to support each other through good and bad times, while strengthening and forming new friendships along the way. We also look to support the wider community in various ways, including fundraising!

Christmas will soon be upon us, and while the majority will be able to enjoy the festivities and spend time with family and friends, there are sadly those who are struggling emotionally and financially and Christmas will be just another one of those difficult days. We’re supporting a number of local charities and community members in need, by making up Christmas gift and food boxes (the sort of treats most of us take for granted at Christmas time), by collecting gift/food treat donations from our generous community and also purchasing gifts for the boxes from any monetary donations we receive. All donations will be lovingly sorted, boxed, wrapped and delivered by us to the people and families that really need and deserve a treat, in the hope it puts a smile on their face. We hope you can support us in doing that and would really appreciate even a small donation to buy a box of treats for someone who will rarely if ever receive them. The gift of giving is a priceless one. We’ll keep this page open until 3rd December and would be grateful for your donations by then, so we have time to buy, wrap and deliver by xmas.

Some of the charities we’d like to help are the Cornwall refuge trust -Domestic abuse charity. The Wild Project - supporting vulnerable young families within deprived areas of Cornwall. Action for children projects within Cornwall - SPACE, Kernow Connect and Seperated Parents project.
