On the 28th May 2016, Will Lashenko Cross passed away, aged just 17, following a severe case of hydrocephalus. Friends and family are still in complete shock after the sudden and heart wrenching death of an incredibly talented and loved young man.

In his memory, a charitable foundation is being established that will be used to assist young people to fulfill their dreams and aspirations in areas of life about which Will was passionate.

The South West Stint will be raising money that will be donated to the fund.

During our challenge, we also wish to support a second charity in which the team behind the South West Stint feel passionately about, the RNLI; the charity that saves lives at sea. They provide, on call, a 24-hour lifeboat search and rescue service around the UK and Ireland, and a seasonal lifeguard service. With their lifeboats, lifeguards, safety advice and flood rescue, they are committed to saving lives, and rescue, on average, 22 lives every day. Being lovers of the sea around the south coast, we want to donate money to this fantastic charity so that they can continue to save lives.

The South West Stint is a 750 mile tour of the South West, where we will be stopping at over 50 places in 5 days of driving our £150 budget modified cars. With no help from mechanics along the way, the 24+ plus hours of accumulated driving is sure to be a challenge!
