I've raised £1400 to Help Sopha raise money towards a defibrillator for our local shop and community

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
Sopha in Highbridge is raising money for a defibrillator to be based in our shop.
Each year, around 30,000 people are struck by SCA (Sudden Cardiac Arrest) outside of a hospital environment. This can occur anywhere - at school, home, work or public places. For every minute it takes for the defibrillator to reach someone and deliver a shock, their chances of survival lower.
If defibrillation occurs within five minutes of cardiac arrest, the person has a survival chance of 50-70%. This decreases by 10% for every minute they are in cardiac arrest.
We Are trying to raise money to have a more accessible defibrillator to the public in an event of an emergency.
