I've raised £3000 to make and supply emergency personal protective equipment for the NHS, health and care workers.

There is a critical lack of available personal protective equipment (PPE) for staff on the front lines of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
We're aiming to produce over 8.500 face shields for health and care workers in Hampshire and beyond.
SoMakeIt, a community based, volunteer-run not-for-profit organisation, is currently 3D printing, assembling and distributing face shields to workers who urgently need them. Face shields protect front-line medical staff (e.g. medical, dental, care work) from splashes, sprays, and spatter of body fluids which is essential when caring for those affected by Covid-19. We are producing over 400 face shields a day and have supplied over 3000 face shields so far to Southampton General, Royal South Hants Hospital and local care homes. Your donations will help us to supply more 3D Printed Face Shields to NHS staff and other essentials workers. We receive new requests every day, and demand is still high.
This is a world wide effort by makers clubs to help stop the spread of the coronavirus and protect the staff on the front line. We need your help to continue to source materials to keep up with demand. Your donation will allow us to buy more material, like the filament used in the prints and the A4 clear plastic sheets used as the splash guard, costs to deliver the prints, machine maintenance and further prototyping. Many print designs are available online in similar projects, but we continue to make changes and customization based on our printers, our failure testing and feedback by the staff who use our shields.
Your donation will help us to protect our community! Thank you .
