My wife and I are environmentalists at heart and are growing increasingly frustrated at the very slow adoption of renewable energy. We believe there is also lack of affordable solutions for average people to help make a difference to the environment on a meaningful scale.

We are going to start a non profit company which is initially funded by the community, grants and donations.

Money raised will go directly towards the cost of buying and installing the solar panels. This would mean that the NHS can have a solar panel system on a hospital at no cost to themselves. (A win for the NHS, and a win for the Environment) all thanks to your help and donations.

Once a system is installed we will sell the electricity back to the NHS for less than the market value, ensuring they benefit from it financially. If a particular hospital would rather not purchase the electricity and wants to give it back to the National Grid, we will sell the generated electricity back to the District Network Operator ('DNO').

All of the income generated, combined with the money donated will go towards future installations.

As our network of installations grows, so will the monthly income from the sale of the electricity. In time we will no longer need to fund raise and the project can continue installing Solar Panels across the UK in a self funding manner.

We are looking to start this as a non profit limited company. Our accounts and finances will be transparent, they can be scrutinised at any time by visiting the government website 'Companies House.' Our monthly receipts and expenditures, along with bank statements will also be added to the website for all to see.

Our goal is to make a change to our dependance on fossil fuels and worsening environmental state of the world.

Step 1- Raise £4500 to start the company, cover legal fees associated with the company formation and gain accreditations.

Step 2- Start fund raising for the 1st installation. (£100,000)

Step 2a- Start contacting NHS Trusts to find an installation site for the first system.
