Story
Between November and December 2020, SLCN Stories donated a collection of 5-6 children's books to 11 Primary Schools in the UK.
We were contacted by Speech Therapists, SENCOs, Teachers, Play Therapists and Parents - and with the incredible support from our fundraisers, we were able to create and deliver book collections tailored to the needs of each request to support children with Speech, Language and Communication Needs.
Our goal for 2021 is a simple one; let's keep going!
We know that in every classroom, there are 2-3 children who have some form of Speech, Language and Communication Need (SLCN).
We know that there is a huge demand from schools.
SLCN Stories is a very small and humble project founded by a mum who wants to raise awareness for children like her own son who has a Speech Disorder.
Join us in 2021 so that we can keep supporting schools who support our children.

SLCN Stories
4 years agoThis week SLCN Stories posted the 16th book donation to a Primary School in Skegness! The plan was to make it to the 20th donation before taking a break as we have been struggling to match fundraising to the demand and need for resources. And then today happened! I am blown away by the kindness and generosity! This means we can keep going, keep donating and keep making sure that children with speech, language and communication needs see their voices reflected in the stories they read. What a day! Thank you. Sarah, SLCN Stories
