SIX Hairdressing: Celebrating Five Years of Festive Charity Giving

At Six Hairdressing, the festive season has come to mean more than just tinsel and presents—it’s become a time for giving back to our community. Five years ago, in 2020, we made a decision that transformed our holiday tradition. Rather than exchanging Christmas cards and gifts, we wanted to make a bigger difference. And so, we began our annual drive to support Your Local Pantry in Yardley Wood.

As we now mark our fifth year of this wonderful initiative, we’re thrilled to see how much it has grown. Our incredible clients and the wider community have come together, helping us raise an amazing £3,473.98 and collect over 4,322 food donations for families in need. It’s a true testament to the power of community spirit!

This year’s donation drive is open from 1st October to 23rd December, and we’re hoping to make it our best yet. You can contribute by donating non-perishable food items at the salon or by making a cash donation, either in person or via our JustGiving page. Simply scan the QR code on the banner outside our salon or visit sixhairdressing.com to donate. Every item and penny will make a real difference to local families this Christmas.

We’re also calling on local businesses to join us in spreading the festive cheer! If your business would like to take part by inviting your clients to contribute, we’d love to hear from you. Just give us a call and ask for Jamie, who is leading this year’s campaign.

We’re asking for donations of non-perishable items, including:

Baby food, nappies, wipes

Sanitary products, cleaning supplies

Toiletries (soap, shampoo, etc.)

Tea, coffee, hot chocolate

Long-life milk, sugar, soft drinks

Crisps, biscuits, crackers, cereal

Rice, pasta, flour, cooking oil

Pet food

Salt, pepper, herbs, condiments

At Six Hairdressing, we’ve learned that the true spirit of Christmas lies not in gifts, but in the joy of giving back. We’d love for you to join us in this mission to brighten the holidays for families in need. Together, we can make a huge difference!
