Thea, at just 3yrs old, has faced many challenges. As a baby she suffered up to 200 seizures a day & eventually underwent surgery that successfully stopped the seizures but left her with limited mobility on one side of her body “She went from being unable to move to shuffling around the floor after her first block of sessions” Thea's mum explained that it can sometimes be hard to engage her in regular physiotherapy, but the joy she finds with her hippotherapy pony, Bobby, has made all the difference it’s lovely to see her so happy & settled

Anna also has cerebral palsy & began hippotherapy at just eighteen months to help strengthen & stretch her muscles, as well as improve her balance. “Results can take time but I have no doubt that it helps target muscles that are quite difficult to reach with hands-on physio. I think one of the biggest benefits is that it’s so enjoyable; there’s no resistance because it’s so much fun. Along with the physical benefits the sessions boost confidence.
