Story

THE 2024 AWARD will be a secondment to join Bell Sport & Classic & GTO Engineering, both synonymous for their work with classic Ferrari, for one month during the summer 2025 race season.

We are now heading into year 3 and looking to top up the Awards financial tank so that me may continue Simon’s legacy of giving the opportunity to get young people into an old car who could not afford to go racing.

We are delighted to continue the sale of our lucky black cat stickers with a donation via the ‘Just Giving’ web site which can be accessed when you scan the QR code. Stickers can be collected from the HSA.

THE AWARD

OBJECTIVE: To continue in perpetuity a legacy of Simon’s ethos in recognising and encouraging the next generation of young Heritage Apprentice Engineers through opportunity in Motorsport.

AWARDED TO: A young individual, identified by a select panel of judges for demonstrating talent in engineering, passion, enthusiasm and exceptional commitment as a team player during their apprenticeship.

THE PRIZE:

• To live and work for 1 month with a well known Heritage Motorsport business.

• A £3,000 award to cover the cost of accommodation, travel and subsistence during their secondment.

• Secondment to include one international Historic Motorsport event.

• An opportunity to gain your ARDS race license including FR race suit, gloves, shoes and helmet.
