As a local Insurance Broker in our community, we want to be involved with the local community needs and feel that by raising money for a defibrillator that can be used by anyone in the community to save a life would be worthwhile.. Ambulance crews carry defibrillators which aim to restore the heart's normal rhythm in the event of a cardiac arrest (heart attack) but ambulance response times have increased over the past few years. Quick access to a community public access defibrillator (CPAD) can increase the chances of survival and reduce the damage caused by a cardiac arrest.

We are therefore fundraising to purchase a CPAD to be sited outside our office for access 24/7 and for use by the public.

Cardiac arrest can occur to anyone of any age. A CPAD can be operated by any member of the public, even without training.
