I've raised £10000 to raise funds for the charity Gap Africa, which supports children in schools in Kenya.

On Friday 23 September Shiplake College pupils and staff will take part in a Whole School Sponsored Walk along the River Thames from Moulsford to Shiplake, via Goring, Pangbourne, Caversham and Sonning.
The distance will depend on the year group, which is 18.4 miles (Years 12 and 13); 16.4 miles (Year 11); 12.7 miles (Years 9 and 10); and 12.3 miles (Years 7 and 8).
This is a substantial effort in support of our almost 30-year link with Gap Africa and our House Sponsorship of eight pupils in schools in the Kikunduku area of Kenya. Our aim is to raise over £10,000 to support the education of our sponsored children for the next two years.
This year the Houses are sponsoring the following secondary school children: Burr - Kalekye; College - Mbuvi; Everett - Joshua; Gilson - Daniel; Lower School - Fabbish; Orchard - Sharon; Skipwith - Matua; Welsh - Fedelia.
We hope that you might feel able to support this important cause. Please share this page with other family members in case they also might like to offer their support.
The College has a long history of undertaking this walk along the Thames Path - the last walk took place in 2018 but we have not been able to do the event since due to the Covid pandemic.
Many thanks to you for supporting us in this great venture.
