Following in the footsteps and in partnership with 'Bus Shelter Isle of Wight' we are converting a double decker bus to be based in Barnstaple , North Devon, into a hostel for the homeless.

We have been donated the bus itself and will be asking local and national business' to donate materials for the build where possible, but there will be many items that we will need to purchase and we need your help with fundraising.

The local homeless that we already work with through 'Survival Bags - Home and Away', will be doing most of the re-furb themselves ... in effect, building their own home and future. The project will support them to be busy during the day, safe at night and give them self confidence and routine back. They will gain experience to go on their C.V's for the future and ultimately give them a purpose. The bus being central to town will enable other organisations to meet with the homeless to discuss voluntary work, work placements, housing opportunities, benefits, mental health support and physical wellbeing.

Our bus will be dedicated to the two local homeless men that have died on the street over the last year.
