    Story

Noah is a 17 year old spending his time raising awareness of brain tumours, his own life has been cruelly changed by his own diagnosis.Noah was diagnosed at the age of 15 in 2021, he has undergone a gruelling treatment of 74 weeks of chemotherapy which he completed in March 2023 unfortunately the tumour continued to grow and he is about to start a new intense weekly chemotherapy for 80 weeks commencing oct 2023.Noah is a force of nature & has spent many years raising funds for others .He has raised in excess of £25,000 for various charities as well as £60,000 to provide Noahs Retreat & he also has a project called “make someone smile” he has had over 7000 Easter Eggs donated/despatched to Womans Aid & Llamau (welsh homeless project) since 2017.As a family we are slowly coming to terms with Noahs illness & we try to spend as much time as a family making precious memories. We have no idea what the future holds but we do know as a family how valuable time is.

Noah has spent approx 2 years of his life mostly in hospital ,the chemotherapy caused many health issues leaving him with a feeding tube & in a wheel chair.Noah has no other options of treatment due to the location of his tumour. He has work hard with physio & hydrotherapy enabling him to regain mobility he can now walk with an aid but when he restarts his treatment next week they have advised it will see him back in his chair during to the extensive damaged caused to his nerves.

After lots of discussions it became very apparent how many sick people in palliative care & or undergoing treatment needed to escape the reality of hospital & home.Noah decided he wanted to provide a much needed holiday home for families undergoing chemotherapy or cancer treatment /palliative care to use to make memories .He started fundraising March 2022 & this year he was able to purchase a lodge on a Haven site in Burnham on sea. After lots of research he has The kids cancer charity running it and taking the bookings as they are already set up to do this. The upkeep & ground fees are approx £10000 a year Noah continues to fund raise towards Noahs Retreat & families making memories.

Spending time with your family making memories is invaluable ,as Noahs family we know chemotherapy is his only option & we also know the importance of time spent together. we will do anything to keep his dream alive of helping other families in a similar situation as our own. With your help hopefully we can do this for him ,to be able to gift a break for people during difficult times is his aim.

Noahs motto is “it takes one small gesture to make some smile & to show you care.”However big or small you can help make a difference.

If you google Noah you will find plenty online about his nature & fundraising.
