Russell & I have 2 major challenges coming up in the next 12 weeks - firstly in June Russell will be running 3 Marathons in a row (thurs, fri & sat) - I'm going for my first Quad 4 in a row (thurs, fri, sat & sun) - the first weekend of August we are both running the North Downs Way 100 miler, having completed the 50 last weekend. We are trying to raise money for MTAR & raise awareness of the effects of puppy farming - we adopted our Birdy back in November 2015 - an ex-stud dog, who had only every knew life in a puppy farm for the first 7 years of his life, if not for the work that MTAR do - our Birdy would have been put to sleep as his use was over to the breeder. Birdy is a beautiful old boy, gentle & kind despite his bad start in life - these dogs deserve a chance to have a happy retirement & just be dogs - they need to know that all humans are not bad, they just need to be loved and treated with kindness. Many Tears Animal Rescue (MTAR) is a small rescue based in South Wales but has dogs in foster homes throughout the UK. We take in and rehome primarily ex-breeding dogs who are no longer required; those on "death row" in the pounds and those whose owners are no longer able to keep them.
