Story

Cragend Farm and Beekeeper Ian Jobson have collaborated to bring bees to Cragend Farm. Ian has been keeping bees on the Farm since June 2018 and they are doing very well, breeding with local bees to create a truly local apiary.

Planting 14 parkland trees that flower at different times during the year will produce a year-round nectar source for the bees and add more trees to the farm. These trees will be set out in a honeycomb formation and the parkland guards will allow the rare breed cattle and goats to continue to graze the site.

The Abore-bee-tum will be fascinating to visit and continue building on the quality of the habitat for the bees.
