Meet Holly,

Shes living her best life!

She loves spending time with her husband exploring the world together on holidays abroad, going to music festivals and concerts …She especially likes the YeahYeahYeahs and The Courteeners!

She loves her job, working with children in a local primary school. On her daily commute she often buys breakfast for the homeless she passes.

You couldn’t meet anyone so kind, caring or selfless.

Unfortunately this is now in Hollys past.

In May 2021 she suffered a life changing reaction following medical treatment, initially presenting with a severe headache and migraine. But days later she collapsed having a huge brain haemorrhage that needed emergency invasive surgery.

She was in a coma for 8 weeks spending 22 MONTHS in hospital in total.

She had to endure all of this through covid hospital lockdown conditions.

Her family phoned everyday throughout her coma so she could hear a familiar voice. Her mother singing and praying for her.

Luckily Holly survived. But she’s now severely disabled.

Unable to walk or care for herself, her planned life is over.

Hollys condition has made it impossible to move home and now living in temporary accommodation.

Holly and her family DESPERATELY need funding to #GetHollyHome.

Holly needs a new wheelchair, home alterations including widening of doorways, access ramps, access to the garden and a ground floor wet room. Costs for this project have been estimated at £30k!

These things won’t fix Holly, but they will make make her day to day life and that of her carers a little more comfortable.

Elizabeth (12) and William (9) raised £4,000 last summer raising money for home alterations for their mum who’s also suffered greatly from the same medical treatment.
