Sessay CC are looking to purchase the adjoining land to the field to allow us to develop a nursery ground.

Sessay Cricket Club was a founding member of the York Senior league and have fielded a team every season since 1912. The club went on to form a 3rd team that entered the Nidderdale league in 2008. during this time all the teams have travelled to many grounds across Yorkshire. As a club we wanted to show how far and wide we travel so set an immense challenge for our second team.

The challenge is to cycle 2666km in the month of March. This is the equivalent of going to each away ground and back for the 1st XI, 2nd XI and 3rd XI in the season of 2021. We have 6 members of the team taking part which means each team member has to complete 445 km in just 31 days. With cricket not requiring the highest levels of fitness and with us been in lock down for what seems forever, its safe to say this will be a difficult challenge for all.
