    Story

A local mum has been diagnosed with incurable cancer and wants to take her young family on a trip of a lifetime.

This event is being completed to raise money for Lizzie and her fiance Taylor who are planning to get married after receiving heart-breaking news that Lizzie has incurable cancer.

The couple who have three young children – aged eight, two and one – are now planning to tie the knot in the coming weeks.

Lizzie and Taylor have always wanted to take the children on a holiday of a lifetime, and so I want to try and help support this.

I currently have a ruptured ACL, Meniscus and a damaged Achilles and Calf muscle in my right leg. My Doctor has told me that swimming is an excellent way to repair and build up those damaged areas.

I intend to swim 10 MILES over the next 4 weeks in a 20m pool.

    That's a total of 805 lengths.

Please help me raise as much money as I possibly can for this wonderful, young family to have the holiday of their dreams.

Eleven days of swimming and I have managed 445 lengths of the 805 I need to do. This is way ahead of target and as I set myself a monetary target of £250, I have far exceeded that too. In fact, with cash and facebook donations, this total is actually £145 more than this page shows - £945 so far. Thank you everyone who has supported me, it means the world and I will keep going to see how much more money I can get for the family.

Today marks the start of my swim. I need to do at least 30 lengths today (and for the next month) in order to hit the target. Thank you for every single penny that has been donated already. It is much appreciated Tx
