Story

after the success of catching Kush the missing Panda the 1st time, we were still keen to use the equipment to find lost pets, dogs, cats and If somebody is looking for a missing pet then a thermal camera on a drone would significantly increase the chances of finding them quickly.

Now that Kush the Panda has escaped for a second time we feel that the need for a Thermal Drone is more urgent than ever.

PLEASE GIVE WHAT EVER YOU CAN.

I am happy to provide the service free of charge if we can raise enough money to purchase one. I am very passionate helping people find missing pets. If I can’t raise the money to purchase one then I may purchase one myself but cover the costs by charging for the service. I would prefer to provide the service free of charge so anyone that has lost a pet could use the service (subject to availability) and not just the people who can afford it. If 600 people were to donate £5 each we would have enough to provide this service free of charge. We wish to purchase a drone with a thermal image camera to deploy free of charge to help locate lost animals. Using a drone with a thermal image camera will enable us to see where they are more easily.

Thermal imaging cameras see through darkness and ignore visual camouflage, they require no light whatsoever to produce a clear image. Many warm-blooded animals will show up clearly in a thermal image, even in total darkness and in practically all weather conditions. Not only do thermal imaging cameras provide unparalleled night-time vision, but they also prove incredibly useful during the day. Animals lost in a dense area of trees can easily blend in with their surroundings, making them hard to find, however, these camouflaged animals stand out quite clearly in a thermal image.

We are willing to deploy the drone free of charge to help find missing animals on the Isle of Man, (subject to availability of a drone pilot). Our first deployment is intended to help find Kush the red panda from the Wildlife Park.
