    Story

Knucklas Castle Community Land Project was born of a vision - a vision of cooperation, of reconnecting with nature, planting trees and growing food - together.

We need to raise the last tranche of money to repay those who helped acquire the land for this small Welsh community to share and care for.

Since we have moved to Knucklas we have been so inspired by this model of community life. Please help us to secure it so that it can be an inspiration for other, similar communities for the future.

To do my bit I'm going to complete the Welsh 3000s in 36 hours during August 2019. This involves summitting all 15 mountains over 3000ft in Snowdonia - a distance of about 24 miles from peak to peak (30 miles altogether).

I'm a qualified Mountain Leader - so if this is something you feel you'd like to join in with, please get in touch and I can advise! Otherwise, your donations will go to a really good cause.

    Thank you!

Unbelievable reception at the Castle Inn last night, complete with banner! And even interrupting the monthly quiz! Thank you to all of you for such encouragement and kindness, and bravo for the £100+ collected in the pub last night. What an amazing fundraising effort by the whole community. Special thanks to the KCCLP trustees for all their help and encouragement behind the scenes, and most of all to my beloved Ellie and Emily who made it all possible.

On the fourth summit at Elidir Fawr. Beautiful views after a rather misty start to the day, which made Crib Gogh and Garnedd Ugain rather interesting!!! At least I couldn’t see the drop...
