Story

Scruffys Angels are a group of around a dozen dedicated volunteers based in Dagenham. We are a lost & found group mainly for cats & dogs but have also been known to help with ferrets, rabbits, guinea pigs, budgies and parrots.

If a dog or cat is found we will go out and scan for a micro-chip and of course re-unite wherever possible, if animal isnt chipped we will arrange foster until owner is found.

If a dog is lost we will work with the owner, and help search day and night to reunite.

Volunteers use entirely their own money to cover everything, including petrol (and sometimes we can drive for miles searching). Our vet bills are between £1,000-£3000 a month, mainly for worming, neutering etc and we pay these by fund raising by quizzes, bathathons, raffles etc.

We have recently been working with a family whose Jack Russell went missing for 6 days in local fields, known locally as The Chase. Thankfully we have reunited him with his owners but it was during this time, whilst we were struggling over fields at midnight in the pitch black that we have decided we need some expert kit. You cant do a job unless you have the proper tools right?

So we have decided to fund raise for a thermal imaging camera (normal price after black friday £3400) and a couple of hunters torches (£249 each)

If you can donate even just £1 this would help so much towards our target of £3000.

Thank you all so much in advance
