Story

I am looking to raise money to support my dear friend Scott Cowie, a devoted father of 3 and loving partner of Laura, as he battles a rare form of cancer. Hopefully this money will take the financial burden from them so he can focus on fighting this horrible disease.

A few months ago Scott was having stomach pains to which his GP diagnosed him with Gastritis and constipation. He was on multiple medications to help relieve his symptoms. On July 7th he went to work as normal, offshore, until the medic approached him realising how ill he was and sent him home the next day. Scott visited the GP when he got home. She noticed something wasnt right and was finally going to refer him to a specialist. She advised he used his private medical insurance to speed the process up and thank goodness he did. He got to see a consultant who put him for a CT scan to try figure out why he was getting all this pain and discomfort.

Prior to all this Scott and Laura had been planning to get married in Cyprus in August but obviously all this had to go on hold.

Scott's life changed on the 9th August when he recieved a phone call from the consultant saying they had found 4 tumors in his stomach and 2 in his chest, news none of us was ready for. He got an endoscopy and was then asked to go for a liver biopsy, to add insult to injury the liver biopsy was on the date they were meant to be getting married.

Scott's diagnosis came back and he has a rare form of cancer called Round cell tumors. A specialist consultant has been brought in to help figure out the treatment Scott will need, he has a long scary road ahead.

I have made up this page to hopefully take the financial burden off them and make sure Scott and Laura's focus is on his recovery.

To all who donate thank you from myself and the family it means a lot.
