I'm raising £20000 to stop unlimited airport expansion

I'm raising £20,000 to support the vital work of climate campaigners, GALBA who are in a David and Goliath fight to stop UK airports expanding up and down the country.
Rachel Reeves has now made her plans clear : she is backing a third runway at Heathrow despite clear evidence from her own advisors that this will be a disaster for the climate.
As we can’t rely on the government to protect us, on April 1st, GALBA will challenge the ‘Jet Zero’ government aviation strategy in the High Court.
Our aim is to prevent the unlimited growth of Leeds Bradford, Heathrow, and ALL other UK airports, in the face of the mounting climate crisis.
With the UK’s top environmental legal team by our side, we are now the only bulwark standing in the way of unbridled airport expansion.
GALBA (Group for Action on Leeds Bradford Airport) is a dedicated group of local activists who have spent the last five years tirelessly fighting against Leeds Bradford Airport's relentless expansion plans and against government policies that make this possible.
However, this painstaking work comes at a cost. As well as fighting the government’s reckless aviation strategy, GALBA is also fighting Leeds Bradford Airport’s plans to fly unlimited planes through the night.
All of this means GALBA urgently need to raise funds to continue its tireless efforts on every front. If we raise more money than we need at this current time, we will ensure that any extra funds are spent on fighting the expansion of airports or increasing flights in the UK.
Please consider backing us in this crucial fight; your support can help us win this battle for our environment!
Thank you from Jess and all the team at GALBA
PLEASE NOTE: When you make a donation, JustGiving will ask you if you want to make a small tip to help with their work. This is an automatic feature of JustGiving and is something that GALBA has no control over. It is possible to over-ride this by clicking on 'Enter Custom Amount' - in blue text near the bottom of the page and then changing the amount to zero.
NB: We have extended the target for this fundraiser from £10,000 to £20,000 because of the extremely pro-expansion stance of the government and because we anticipate a long fight ahead!
