Story
My third and final Mayor's Charities fundraiser is the Sawbo Daily Mile
Give yourself an Easter boost and do the Sawbo Daily Mile!
Anytime from Monday 29 March to 11 April you can do the Sawbo Daily Mile. It’s designed to get us all exercising – walking, running, cycling or rolling – while sticking to current Covid-19 regulations. By doing so, you can help raise badly needed funds for two of our fantastic local charities – Sawbridgeworth Scouts and the Essex & Herts Air Ambulance.
1. Keep up your fitness and wellbeing by completing a Daily Mile
2. Stick to the latest Covid-19 restrictions https://www.gov.uk/coronavirus
3. Do your Daily Mile 2 to 7 times a week – whatever suits you best
4. Do this for 1 week or 1 fortnight – it’s up to you
5. Walk, run, cycle or roll
6. Get your friends and family to sponsor you per mile and donate to this year’s Sawbo Mayor’s Charities using this page!
Monies raised will be split equally between the two charities, 1st Sawbridgeworth Scouts , and the Essex & Herts Air Ambulance.
Please note that this initiative is NOT exempt from the current Covid-19 rules and the expectation is that all participants continue to adhere to guidelines.
Thank you very much for taking part, and a big thank you to Boyletts Law for supporting us - Annelise

4 years agoA massive thank you for supporting the Sawbo Daily Mile last month – we raised over £1,340 towards this year’s Mayor’s Charities fund. Special thanks to the Tuck Shop and its customers for donating £500; to Great St Mary's church for its collection of over £156; to cub scout William for his super fundraising effort of £157; and to Kim and Jamie from Boyletts Law for all their support and promotion.

4 years agoI really hope you are enjoying the Sawbo Daily Mile, and that you get to try some of these super walks available on the Town Council website. Designed especially, there are 7 x one-mile walks each of which can be extended to three-miles http://www.sawbridgeworth-tc.gov.uk/town-information/other-town-services/walks/

Sawbridgeworth
I have chosen as this year’s Mayor to raise funds for two charities– the 1st Sawbridgeworth Scouts, which play such an important part in many children’s lives, and the Essex & Herts Air Ambulance in recognition of its critical work as one of our emergency services.
