Hello you lovely people! An update to say that I'll now be closing this fundraiser, but just because the target is reached doesn't mean the need is over! I've set up a new one.. Funds are desperately needed for x4 containers, 2 for temp accommodation for volunteers to stay on-site, 1 for a small clinic, and 1 for storage, and, the road needs to be tackled, as it currently becomes impassable in winter.. So we've done it! Thank you all so much for your generous donations, small and large, they've all helped to reach the amazing £2K target! Funds are still needed to facilitate a new stable, and 4 shipping containers for use as a clinic, storage, and temporary accommodation for visiting volunteers. Stuck on 92%! Just another £150 needed to make the £2K target! I've set up a personal £50 monthly donation via sawasantorini.com to stop myself making 'spontaneous' donations after a few wines! Hunting season in Santorini now, a sad thing in itself, but it means dogs that don't 'preform' are adding to the no. of shelter residents, like poor Liza, about 10, her usefulness exhausted, as are her back legs, so it's unlikely she'll be re-homed.. but she has an old suitcase for a bed, a jumper, blanket, food, and most important - someone cares! ❤️
