Our Nurse-Led organisation provides life-changing holistic cancer care to thousands of patients. But with the loss of £43,000 in NHS funding, we face an uncertain future.

For 36 years, we have been a Nurse-Led organisation providing support for cancer patients and their families, offering holistic support to ease their journey. However, the NHS has decided to cut our annual funding of £43,000 - a third of our running costs - leaving our future uncertain. We need your help to continue providing essential care for over 2,000 patients who rely on us each year.

About Us:

Our charity bridges a crucial gap in cancer care by delivering over 9,000 free therapy sessions annually. These include holistic needs assessments, counselling and complementary therapies such as reflexology, yoga and tai chi. We are a dedicated team of 12 staff members and over 40 volunteers committed to improving the physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing of cancer patients and their families.

Just one Band 7 Staff Nurse salary costs the NHS over £46,000 per year.

The £43,000 funding taken from us by the NHS allowed us to do so much more:

- Staff 4 nurses

- Employ 2 admin staff

- Staff 3 counsellors

- Staff 40 volunteers

- Employ charity shop staff

This funding enables us to deliver our Nurse-Led services that stretch far beyond what a single role could achieve. Without it, we lose the ability to provide these essential services that support countless individuals and families going through cancer.
