Story
The Save Glebe Group, made up of a group of village residents, want to stop the proposed development of Glebe Field, opposite the Village Hall in St Margaret's at Cliffe. This land was bought to save it from development in 1972 by the original St Margaret's Bay Trust. The plan to build 14 dwellings here will destroy a designated Open Space, threaten the viability of the village hall and prevent the land being used for community activities. We would like to see it returned to its decades long use as a resource for the village fetes, Christmas Lights switch on, concerts, outdoor drama, Scout and Brownie activities and a haven for wildlife in the centre of our village.
