Story
Nunny's Farm desperately needs your support.
**Update** 9th December 2024 *****
Thank you to each and every person who has donated towards our appeal.
Such support and kindness has been shown from everyone; Harry, Ashleigh and her mum, and the team at NELC doing sponsored walks to raise additional funds. Community members making and selling craft products, donations of name card gifts, independent collections being made, the list goes on. We have received donations at the farm, cheques in the post, payments into the bank account and support via our ongoing Donate page at: https://platform.nationalfundingscheme.org//NFCARE1
Adding all those together means we have raised enough funds to see the farm through into Spring 2025 which is fabulous news. Yippee!!
We will continue to garner support and partnerships from organisations to ensure the farm is sustainable for the future, and we hope to see all of you visiting the farm in the coming months.
THANK YOU EVERYONE !!
2024 has been a difficult year, financially, for everyone and Nunny’s Farm is no exception. With rising living costs impacting everyone, visits to the farm has understandably reduced and we now need your help to get through this winter.
We are looking to raise £40,000 for this much-loved cause and with your help we can continue to:
* Welcome over 25,000 visitors annually, mainly families, who can meet and feed the animals and engage in fun, educational experiences
*Take in many of your unwanted pets and abandoned animals, creating a safe haven for them to live and see out their days in a loving environment.
* Offer work experience for over 25 students a year, with over 50% identifying as having additional support needs.
* Support volunteer opportunities for over 100 people a year, of those 64% in 2023/24 were unemployed, and 72% identified as individuals with additional needs.
* Host students in EOTAS packages who have lost their desire or ability to thrive in mainstream education.
* Run mental and physical health and well-being programmes within the local community.
* Offer guided experiences for school children: 1,237 children from 38 different schools benefited in 2023.
*Deliver outreach programmes to the local area and support many charitable and fundraising events in the local community.
We are appealing to you openly about our situation because the farm is here for you, and it matters to all of us to keep the place going. We do not want this vital resource to have to face closure and be gone forever.
There are many animal related organisations in the same situation as us, a lot of whom have already closed, but I hope you can really dig deep, see the value Nunny’s Farm brings to Grimsby and our community and donate. The minimum donation is £2.00 so please give what you can today.
With your support, we can continue with our important work whilst reviewing how the Farm can move forward in a sustainable way. We will do this transparently and in consultation with our community, stakeholders and supporters.
THANK YOU!

1 month agoTHANK YOU ALL!! We have consolidated all of the donations received across all the platforms, additional fundraisers and sponsored events, direct bank transfers and donations at the farm itself and we have reached the target required to get us through to the New Year. We will continue to partner with organisations to ensure sustainability for the farms future and welcome your continued support in keeping our lovely little farm alive, but for now. Thank you all again from Neil, Joanna, and the team at Nunny's Farm.

2 months agoWe are so grateful to each and every person who has taken the time to support our appeal. We know it is a really tough time of year, and we acknowledge just how hard it is for some of you. We want the farm to continue to be here, so that we can support our visitors with their families, their friends, and their own mental health, by continuing to provide access to our wonderfully calming, animals. Donations are being received at the farm, into the bank and via the Donate text scheme, and we have reached halfway on our target.

2 months agoThank you all so much for your donations. I have adjusted this total to account for all of the other donations we are receiving via the text donate scheme, or through cash donations given at the farm, and I will continue to keep a tally and amend this accordingly. Joanna
