I've raised £500 to PARISH WALK & VIRTUAL LONDON MARATHON. Fundraising for Liverpool Heart & Chest Hospital and Medecins Sans Frontieres.

And once again, since I'm putting in so many hours of training, why not raise some more money for charity?
I've struggled to settle on just one cause this year, so I'm raising funds and splitting them 50/50 between the Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital, in memory of my dad Alfie Allen, and the global organisation Medecins Sans Frontiers (Doctors without Borders). You can read more about these below.
So far I've walked and ran close to 500 miles in training. Maybe this will be the year I make it the full 85 miles round the parish?
Any sponsors, however big or small, are much appreciated, and going to 2 charities which do some great work and appreciate every penny raised.
I've previously raised money for this charity in memory of my dad, Alfie Allen, who passed away 5 years ago. So I'm looking to raise some more money in his name for this super appreciative charity.
The money donated to the LHCH charity supports the hospital by providing new equipment, funding for heart and lung disease research and keeping the hospital an enjoyable environment to visit. My dad thought very highly of LHCH and donated himself, so I'm sure he'd be happy with more donations heading their way so they can keep on providing great care.

I've long wanted to raise money for this charity, but this last year, more than ever, has put into perspective how lucky we are in the UK, and how tough so many people around the world have it compared to us. Medecins Sans Frontieres provides medical aid around the world wherever needs it most - from war zones to the centre of epidemics, completely independent of government and politics.
For anyone unfamiliar with their work, see below as to how they spend their money - honestly, an incredibly hardworking and lifechanging organisation.
