I've raised £10000 to Start our new life together as Mr & Mrs aboard a great floating home. The Monkfish is a 1955 converted fishing boat we are going to live on.

Well, The Big Day went off beautifully, even though we had Covid restricted numbers only. Thank you if you joined us online, challenging but lots of fun.
Now it's wrapping up our lives in the UK and prepping for a life afloat.
Most of you will know we have been looking for a boat to live aboard and work from whilst traveling to see different parts of the World. Well, we finally found her, The Monkfish. She's a 1955 converted wooden fishing boat and gorgeous, she's in the bottom right of the picture. Please check out themonkfish.life.
Traditionally wedding gift lists circulate and on the big day everyone arrives with presents under their arms. As we can't have the function due to the hokey-cokey of Covid we were going to suggest wedding contributions like life-jackets, water-makers and bits for the boat but even that is going to be problematic with lockdown and getting together. So. we've set up this page and we are simply asking for contributions to the renovation fund. You can be anonymous if you like and if you go that way, please accept our sincere thanks just the same.
The things we'll need to do include, a dinghy, an outboard, upgrade solar panels, a wind-powered generator, a reverse osmosis water maker, a 300Bar compressor, diving cylinders and kit, a chest freezer, black-out curtains, an SSB radio, life jackets, maps and charts of the Med & Black Sea, a wood-burner stove for heat etc..etc..etc. Some things second-hand or refurbished but other things just have to be bought new. Here's the ask, whatever you would have considered spending on a wedding present for us, please could you instead put it into our 'Afloat Fund'. Every penny will be carefully applied, rest assured of that.
Now, it's not a wedding without a party is it? So we WILL still be having a Bon Voyage party in July, we really hope you can join us and lockdown has resolved itself by then (if not we'll review).
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts,
Sarah and Craig
