Story

Sarah Speller is 33 years old and suffers with auto immune disease. Her community raised almost £400 for a deposit on an electric wheelchair but sadly until the balance is paid it cannot be collected. Auto immune has caused her knees to deform along with other health issues including essential tremor, alopecia, stomach issues, nails to fall off, stomach issues meaning a normal diet cannot be followed and much more. Currently sarahs son Oliver is her carer and on days out it is his job to push her in a manual wheel chair. With an electric wheelchair Sarah and her son can live a semi normal life. One day Sarah hopes to have a double knee replacement to help with this part of her condition. Currently the NHS will not conduct this operation due to Sarah being only being 33.
Sarahs health issue include
Auto immune condition, nails that turn paper thin and fall off causing bleeding and infection, severe headaches and exhaustion, deformed joints, no hair on the entire body, amoung other issues. In October 2018 sarahs father was also diagnosed with dementia. He was Sarahs full time carer until this. With an electric wheelchair Sarah and he son can live a semi normal life and help her father too as he once helped her. This Christmas her sons wish is sarah get better. This will never be a factor but it can be made easier with a chair sarah can control herself. Thank you for reading and thank you for helping. .
