On Sunday 1st October, myself and 3 friends - Leanne, Gemma & Jo are going to be doing a 26.2 mile walk in Weymouth. Now when we signed up to this challenge I thought it was going to be a piece of cake..! But I became quite poorly recently & have only been back to work & walking my dogs the last couple weeks so have done zero training for this but I am determined to smash it!

I would like to raise money for Royal Devon & Exeter hospital, as many of you may know my dad has been in hospital for 6 weeks, he got rushed in with pancreatitis, lung infection and gall stones on the 14th August, a few times we thought we may lose him & I can’t tell you how many times I sat at his bedside with tears in my eyes and cried all the way home. He has been fed through a tube for 5 1/2 weeks and has just these last few days been able to eat after an operation. Thankfully he’s pulled through, and this last week he’s looking like dad again! Fingers crossed, he should be home by the time we do this walk! My dad simply wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for Exeter hospital, and the care he has had is second to none & I will always eternally grateful.
