I've raised £1000 to help Selkirk Silver Band take part in the National Championships in Cheltenham

Selkirk Silver Band recently competed in the Scottish Brass Band Championships in Perth, coming 2nd in the 3rd section, gaining promotion to the 2nd section and the opportunity to compete in the National Brass Band championships which will take place in Cheltenham, in September 2018.
The band are delighted with the result, being the only Borders Band qualifying for the Championships not only representing our town, but Scotland.
The focus is now fundraising, with the costs estimated at £6,000 to cover transport, accommodation, entry fees, music and conductors fees.
We are currently looking at fundraising ideas, and have a pop up shop booked for 26th May in Selkirk along with a bake sale on 30th August at the Borders General Hospital.
The band are also looking at other events to raise the necessary funds, along with band members paying contributions.
We are also going to be contacting local businesses in the hope of securing some sponsorship/advertising in a brochure planned for our trip.
Our income received at our 3 annual concerts, and other events in the town keep the band running on a day to day basis. We need to raise funds on top of this income to fund our trip to Cheltenham.
If you can help support us in any way, it will be very much appreciated.
