In South Sudan, near the border with the Democratic Republic of Congo, lies a war-torn town called Maridi. This is where my Mum (Lynn) has spent most of the past 3 years providing support to those so desperately in need.

As she is about to embark on her first long-term trip (3 years) Myself and 2 of my favourite people - Damian & Lynsey, will be running Tough Mudder, a 13 mile obstacle course to raise money to provide aid during this mission.

Due to the recent civil war, Maridi has been torn apart. The market no longer exists, surrounding houses have been destroyed the hospitals and clinics looted at a time when they are needed most. People in the town have suffered from loss of loved ones, hunger, and diseases such as malaria and typhoid.

Not only will the money raised go towards emergency aid but it will go to building the town up, Lynn will be teaching English to the people of Maridi opening up opportunites for them giving them hope for a future.
