Story

Our dear friend Annie Sanjana died on the 28th of December 2022 in Manchester, UK. She bravely fought the terminal cancer and succumbed to it in the presence of her loving family & friends. Annie was born, brought up and nurtured in a good family in Hyderabad, a southern city in India. With hard work and dedication, she became a qualified nurse.

In the year 2019, Annie was hired from India to work as a nurse in NHS at the North Manchester Hospital in Manchester, UK. She was only 28 years old but in her short span of life she made a big impact on many lives. She gave shelter and took care of people in need. She shared her love with friends and family and was much loved by everyone.

Annie loved to be around friends and even in the last few weeks of her life in the run up to Christmas, she cheerfully welcomed the Carol Singing group into her home and invited us to sing some of her favourite carols. Though house-bound, she still managed to participate and sing Christmas carols with us and sent us all with loving gifts.

Her commitment at work was exhibited by her empathy towards her patients by putting them first. We have heard first hand testimonies from friends, as to how Annie, did not take a single leave from her nursing duties during the entire COVID pandemic. She was a responsible daughter, a loving friend, wonderful sister and a committed Christian. We will always remember her for her delicate sense of humour and for her love for others beyond boundaries.

Her family would like to conduct Annie’s funeral in India and It would be an immense help if we can crowd fund and support the family with the funeral costs that includes flying her mortal remains to Hyderabad, India. This is our opportunity to show our empathy by supporting Annie’s family in giving her the funeral that she deserves.

“Alone, we can do so little; together we can do so much”!

Requesting you all to contribute generously towards Annie’s final journey and seeking your prayers for the family and loved ones at a time like this.

For God loves a cheerful giver
