Im 33 years old and In November 2022 I suddenly and unexpectedly suffered a stroke losing strength in my left arm and leg, and unable to walk, prior to this i had worked full time for the last 17years and am now unable to work, i am now living in a care home unable to dress or cook or clean for myself in fact i need assistance with most daily tasks. Unfortunately the NHS have only funded a manual wheelchair that must be pushed by a carer so i have no independence at all. I am unable to go out much at all as my main source of support has health conditions of her own so is unable to lift or push a wheelchair.
I have just been cleared to drive and have applied for a wheelchair accessible vehicle.
Unfortunately P.I.P will only pay for a car OR a wheelchair and not both

Those who know me, know i dont like asking for help but an electric wheelchair or mobility scooter would enable me to have a lot of my independence back and have a social life and this is so important to me given my already poor mental health.
