Story
On Christmas Day 2018 Samantha May tragically and suddenly passed away leaving a huge hole in the hearts of all those who loved her.
Sam was an unforgettable character; full of fun, silliness and positivity. She was unique, special and simply irreplaceable. Sam was kind, selfless and so full of life.
From a very young age Sam always loved her sports. Among her achievements were half IRONMAN’s, long distance open-water swims, marathons, triathlons, bodybuilding championships and a lot more in between. She was an incredible athlete.
Whatever the goal she set herself, she had the mindset to achieve it. Recognising that what the mind believes the body can achieve. Exercising, keeping fit & being strong was her passion. The gym therefore was like a second home to her.
THE PLAN
We would like to raise enough money to build an outdoor gym in memory of Samantha. It will be local to where she lived in Littlehampton, West Sussex and would benefit the whole community. As well as this it would serve as a fitting memorial for her family & friends to visit.
In her job as a flight attendant she would use such gyms whilst down route. She would write home about how she enjoyed running to them to do her workout and then power walk back.
Instead of flowers at the funeral we have asked for donations to go towards 'Sam's memorial outdoor gym'. There will also be other organised events in the future to raise the funds needed to make this happen.
So please as well as your money we need your ideas!
Let’s make this happen for Sam!
