Story

I am aiming to run 500 miles by the Jamboree. This goal will involve outdoor runs and in the gym. I enjoy running but have never run more than 3 miles at a time. The Jamboree is a World Scouting event with thousands of Scouts attending from around the world. I am passionate about geography and am very excited to have selected for this adventure.

He has done it!!! Sam ran his 500th mile yesterday!! We are soooo proud of him. Thank you to everyone who has donated to this amazing adventure. He flies to South Korea with the Wiltshire Unit 83 in July. World Scout Jamboree!

Sam has now run over 404 miles! He will be inviting friends and family to join him on his last mile..probably April 2023. Through fairs selling 2nd hand books etc and direct sponsorship for his Jamboree trip Sam has now raised the full amount needed! Thank you All !XXX

310 miles achieved!! Money from this page, other sponsorship and fundraising means Sam only has £400 to go!! He ran the 2nd half of school walk, 6 miles, this term and also won a 4.25 race at school against other year 11s who is has literally been chasing for years!! He is enjoying the fitness challenge, regularly runs his short 2 mile village route and can now run a hour non-stop on the treadmill! Thank you to all the amazing support we have had!

Sam is 15 and been a member of Warminster Scout group since aged 6. As a Warminster Bowden Explorer he has been selected as one of a group to attend the 25th World Scout Jamboree in South Korea in 2023. He is aiming to push his own limits and run 500 miles before the trip.
