Story

Myself and Nikki moved from London to Cornwall in 2015 , we were very excited as Nikki got a new job as a deputy headteacher in a local school, everything was great. In the summer of 2016 Nikki started to complain that her back ached , however at the time she was trying to get fitter and was excersing , then in October 2016 Nikki found a lump in her breast , she went to the doctors and was referred to the breast clinic at Treliske hospital in Truro. On 18th October Nikki was informed after various tests that she had breast cancer, three days later she collapsed at home with severe back pain, after further scans she was informed that she had stage 4 breast cancer and it had spread into her back . Nikki can't be cured but we're hoping that the cancer will become stable , she has had radiotherapy on her back which has allowed her to walk again, and is now on a trail drug that has just been approved for use by the NHS.

I have decided that I would like to raise some funds for the sunrise centre here in Truro , I'm now Nikki's full time carer and need to be at home to look after her , so I'm going to row around GB on an Ergo rowing machine in our garage , its only about 2700 km give or take ! so if you can spare any cash it would be appreciated , cancer effects us all in some shape or form and I just want to give something back to our local hospital for being there ! Thank you.
