Story
We are Tiddlywinks, a non profit, completely volunteer run stay and play group for our local community to come with their babies and children to enjoy play time, games and activities with their parents/guardians aswell as mix and interact with other children. It gives the parents a chance to get out of the house and meet other parents in the local area, hopefully building confidence and reducing the loneliness and sometimes baby blues us parents feel more often than we would care to admit. Once a month we invite in a special guest to do a session for us, such as reptile arks, sensory or messy play experiences, magicians ect so that our low income families can still experience these things but at the same cost as one of our playgroup sessions. We have taken part in lots of community activities to really try and get ourselves involved and known in our local community, such as the rememberance walk and holding a Christmas fayre. All of our profits made and funding we kindly recieve goes straight back into our group, providing new toys and equipment and trying to better our group all the time. We are desperately seeking funding right now for a sensory area, which we want to create with lots of lights, sounds and textures that can appeal to not only our babies and children that regularly come to group but for children with special needs such as autism, who would benefit from this in a huge way. We all work so hard, coming up with ideas to keep things new and fresh each week and engage our children in every session. This is such a passion for every one of our volunteers and seeing the utter joy our group brings to the people of our community is exactly the reason we want to keep going and keep making our group better in hope to attract more people and watch more friendships build. We thank you all in advance for any support given to us whether that be donating, sharing and helping spread the word, by attending or volunteering, even just reading this makes a difference!

6 years agoWe are overwhelmed with the support received so far. Thank you to those who have shared and donated. We are well on our way to providing our group with a fantastic sensory room aswell as soft play equipment, such as a larger ball pool, to aid in physical play and development. We have so many plans for our tiddlywinks future and your generous donations help make this possible.
