Story
Many of you will know Paul and Olivia Elliott, or at least one of them. They are an amazing couple who have done so much for other people. Their little boy is only six and has been through so much in a very short space of time. He has fluid on his brain after having a stroke and will need surgery. He has been transferred to a hospital nearly two hours away from home, and will be hospital for a while.
Friends of the family would love to help, there's not a lot we can do, but we thought one thing we could do is to raise some money to help with the cost of being so far away from home for a prolonged time. Any donations would be gratefully appreciated and we wish him a speedy recovery.

8 years agoEzra and family came home on Friday. He's had the drain removed, however he is still not out of the woods as the aneurysm and AVM still need to be fixed. He will be having further surgery towards the end of August to attemp to sort both of these out by doing an angiogram, but will only be possible if the blood has reduced. It's quite scary bringing him home when he's been so poorly, but nice for them to have their home comforts again. Thank you so much for all your generous donations :)

8 years agoHi everyone, Wow what can I say, you're all amazing! Thank you so much!! At the moment there is no real change. The Drs will have a go at turning the drain off soon and see how he copes with it, depending on the out come they may have to put in a permanent shunt, but we won't know till we see how he copes with it. He will then require rehabilitation and will also be having another angiogram towards the need of August, then we will know if he needs further surgery. Please keep sharing and donating :)

8 years agoWow, thank you so much for your generous donations. A little up date, The Drs have adjusted the drain, which is releasing the pressure from the build up of fluid, to see if his body can cope with absorbing it again itself. Unfortunately this means the little dude is in a lot of pain as his brain adjusts to the change. At the moment it's a case of waiting to see how he copes with this and still waiting for the swelling and blood to disperse before they can do another angiogram.

Ezra has had a stroke and needs to stay in hospital for a prolonged period. However Alder Hey is 2 hours away from home so his family are having to live away from home and are unable to work while they are by his side. Please donate so they can stay with him.
